My first pet German Shepherd was purchased in 1979. Her name was Lee and she was mainly English breeding. My first Show Dog was in the early 80's and was one of Lee's decendents. 'Antilli Desperate Dan' was his name and he was very much middle of the road in type but he got me involved in showing and led me to discover the 'German' type of GSD, which I preferred. I had fun at Open Shows with Danny, but I was looking to buy a German type female as a foundation for my kennels. Luck wasn't on my side as I bought 5 females in succession, who amazingly all turned out to have bad hips! I then bought a 6 month old bitch puppy from Keith Greenow. Her name was 'Daval Zuta of Antilli' and she became my early foundation bitch & first German type show bitch. She was a Championship & Open Show Winner, qualified for her Stud Book Number, and was Breed Survey Class 1. She taught me alot, but unfortunately when I bred from her she didn't breed on. My kennel name ANTILLI was granted by the kennel club in 1987and I started judging shortly afterwards. In 1992 I was given a bitch by Janet Thompson (Janshar) and she was to change this kennel for the future! Her name was Lerose Becky of Janshar (Photo Above)and she appears in the pedigree of every one of my current homebred dogs. She is also the mother of Champion Antilli Nathalie.. Unfortunately Becky(Cher) died in April 2003 aged nearly 12 years.
In March 2001, together with my good friend Alyson Reilly, we took out a separate interest in my affix Antilli, and since then we have bred several litters together, starting from the W litter Antilli. We work closely together training and showing our dogs and both have allot of knowledge of training and breeding.
As a forward thinking progressive kennel we decided to introduce a new bloodline into the kennels. With this in mind, in OCT 2001, we decided to purchase a german bred female, her name is Fanta or Vlori vom Rhein-Moselring, In 2002 we also purchased the beautiful sable male Baron von Blue River, and July 2004 Orlando von der Vallendarer-Höhe, others from Germany will follow and we now eagerly look forward to the future.
