We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former NH Lottery Executive Director James Wimsatt, who passed away earlier this month.Originally from Kentucky, Jim enjoyed a 20-year career with the NH Lottery. While attending college in NH, Jim joined the NH Lottery Commission as a warehouse stock clerk and worked his way up to Executive Director. Prior to that, Jim served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force.We thank Jim for his service to our country and for his dedication, leadership and commitment to the NH Lottery’s mission of supporting NH public education.

The duel isn’t over yet! Our dueling jackpots have continued to grow over the past few weeks and there’s now a combined $1.9 billion up for grabs during tonight’s (3/25) Powerball drawing and tomorrow night’s (3/26) Mega Millions. The estimated jackpots would be the 6th-largest Powerball jackpot and 5th-largest Mega Millions jackpot in lottery history. While we hope to have a NH player take home one of these top prizes, we are excited to celebrate with a lucky player who purchased a winning $100,000 ticket for Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.
